Support Diana

Substack is a hybrid between a blog and a newsletter. On the Spirited Witch, you can choose the free option for event updates and book releases. You can also opt in to a monthly or yearly subscription, and be entertained by paranormal stories, guided meditations, and weekly posts relating to Diana’s spiritual and practical life.

Patreon opened by popular request! Help Diana sustain herself and her family monthly, and depending on the subscription level, enjoy a free pdf zine, monthly divination packages, classes, blog posts, and more!

How to support with time instead of money

Yes, I get it. You’re not able to send money or subscribe to a project. That’s OK! If you’re feeling nudged towards energy exchange, the most valuable things in our culture, in addition to money, are time and attention. The following actions can give that time and attention while honoring reasonable boundaries in parasocial relationships!

  1. Ask your local library to order copies of my books. Ask them also to do it digitally. Yes, I still get royalties when my book becomes a shared resource. It’s more complicated with digital, and often, libraries have to buy digital through an odd variety of means. (Note: The link is from 2011 and may not be accurate to today’s archival book-buying methods.)

  2. Post a review of my book on GoodReads, Amazon, or StoryGraph. Alg@rithms don’t care how old the book is, it cares that there’s still interaction on it.

  3. Talk about my books on social media.

  4. If something meaningful to you made a difference, send me a note. Confession: those have kept me going on some truly awful days. Scratch that. Send ALL your favorite authors notes! Most of us are shy, stressed-out beings that live in our heads, and your notes tell us it’s safe to come outside!

  5. Add upcoming books to your Want to Read lists in GoodReads and StoryGraph.

  6. If you want to cite my book in your fan art or fan works, as long as it does not infringe on copyright and fits within the US laws regarding satirical work, I’m good with it. I know of at least one work of fiction about the Wild Hunt that was at least inspired by my writing in Samhain: Recipes, Rituals, and Lore for Halloween.

  7. When someone talks about “just getting a PDF,” please direct them to borrowing copies from their local library.

  8. Interact with my social media. The likes aren’t to feed me. They are to leave breadcrumbs for other wild misfit wonders looking for community without the restriction of shape.

  9. Subscribe to the free version of my Substack. Also, when you enjoy or find what I post useful, forward it to an interested friend!
